Revs Sign Hillenbrand: We discussed this on the site earlier in the week and today it's a reality. The York Revolution have signed former big leaguer Shea Hillenbrand, according to Jeff Johnson.
Hillenbrand has had a nice career in the bigs, batting .284 with 108 home runs and 490 RBI. He's played for the Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers and Angels (of Anaheim) and San Fransisco Giants. He was in L.A. -- with both teams -- in 2007.
Expect to see him in the Revs' lineup this week.
Many of you said there was no chance of a player with his resume coming to the Atlantic League. It shows, he may have enough money to set his family up for the rest of his and their lives, but he still wants to play the game.
Fish Catch Break: Pitcher Mike Connolly left the Bridgeport Bluefish this spring for an opportunity to pitch in Taiwan -- and more cash. Connolly will return to the Fish today, according to Rich Elliott.
He reports that Connolly left the Sinon Bulls because they were no longer using him as a starter. The signing will likely push Matt Pike into the bullpen.
Connolly's brother, Jon, is a member of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. - Scott Stanchak

The Somerset and Newark battle as the first half draws to a close is very exciting. Big night for the Patriots last night.
Has anyone noticed how awful the Ducks are?
They actually mirror the mets and yanks. A bunch of 'names' with no thought about chemistry. They would sign the fozen head of Ted Williams just to say they have him.
How would the Tedsicle sign? Good eye, No hands!
very good clarence
Don't call me Shirley.
Jeff Johnson at is reporting that the York Revolution are adding Shea Hillenbrand to the roster.
Shea Hillenbrand is a joke of a baseball player. Everywhere he has gone he has given clubhouses problem.
Good luck York
Sour grapes, anyone?
Alex Sanchez quit yesterday! When I was entering City Bank Park I saw Alex was putting things in his car and I went over and asked him where he was going and he said he was going home and seemed pretty pissed off. I later found out he quit because when he signed with the Ducks they told him they "guarantee that they could get him signed" and he was batting close to .350 and no one was offering him anything so he left.
AND!!!
His rumored replacement is Richard Hidalgo!
Maybe John Gibbon's will wind up in York also.
who is John Gibbons?
if you mean Jay Gibbons he's been with the Ducks for a while now
hahahahahahhaha
